The Challenge: To create a unique architectural brand that embodies the energy of the design process along with the resources of five architectural experts.
Because their are so many architectural firms that brand their company with their last name, the goal was to create a brand name that would stand out from the crowd, yet convey the energy & collaborative spirit of expert architecture, 'from the ground up'.
The final result was a name that blended both the evocative feeling of a progressive 'ground-level process' associated with root word 'Ground' meaning (living, working, happening) and the descriptive noun 'Five', symbolizing the collaborative efforts of a five partner team that provides expert architecture in five phases of design.
The tagline "Where Unique Architectural Design Happens" emphasizes the cornerstone of service provided by this architect firm.
Ground Five is one of those rare names that intuitively explains itself and its positioning, yet with a sense of professionalism and style. We felt it best not to use a number in naming this company (Ground 5) as this would detract from being a service oriented to product oriented. The future ad copy and marketing platform is wide open to superlatives such as foundation, framework, real estate, established and all the other words, thoughts, ideas and emotions conjured up by the image of the ground.
